Principal Investigator
My research centers on Transformative Interface Science spanning Advanced Coatings to Complex Fluids and beyond. My group investigates Surface Science Fundamentals—such as adhesion mechanisms, colloidal stability, and particle–surface interactions—to engineer next-generation Coatings & Surface Engineering solutions, including antifouling and biomedical coatings, corrosion inhibition, and drag reduction. We also develop innovative Colloidal Systems for drug delivery, smart gels, and nano-lubrication, while leveraging breakthroughs in Electronic Materials (e.g., thermal interface materials and advanced PCBs) to improve device performance. Finally, our lab is pioneering Agricultural Innovations—from smart food-contact surfaces and edible films to nano-pesticides and soil amendments—to enhance sustainability, efficiency, and safety across the food and farming industries.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, in 2019. In 2020, I joined the group as an M.S. student and completed my thesis on developing durable superhydrophobic and bacteria-repellent coatings for food-contact surfaces. In 2021, I transitioned into the Ph.D. program. My doctoral research focuses on engineering nano-encapsulated systems to combat agri-food pathogens. My research interests include nano-formulations, interfacial interactions, coatings, process development, and food microbiology.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. For my Ph.D., my research focuses on developing Monte Carlo simulations for bacterial adhesion, and developing engineered nano-pesticides.
